"Great opening as always. I was taken straight into the storyline and hooked. It helps that the characters are firmly fixed in my mind as the introduction of Keris felt akin to greeting an old friend and I'm sure that followers of your books will feel this way.

"Plot is intricate, imaginative and compelling. Having read the previous manuscript, this is not a surprise. The concept of Lodestone and its various segments is extraordinary. Importantly, these segments pull together significantly to form an almost believable reality that has its origins in humanity simply because the reader is able to pull on their own experiences and emotions and relate to the characters even though the scenarios are highly imaginative and surreal.

"Dialogue works extremely well and is written in an effortless style. Each character is brought to life by your skill with dialogue and because it flows, it is not distracting for the reader.

"Descriptively- your short sharp sentences are very powerful and immediately bring the scenes to life.

"Tension is interlaced quite cleverly. Whilst some writers work hard to build up scenes of tension, your approach is quite effortless but dramatic in its own sense. The tension builds the pace and drives the story forward in a natural way.

"Action scenes are written with aplomb and become an integral part of the plot, building tension and pace and then allowing the reader to ease back into the story as the pace settles.

"Overall, it's powerfully written." Annette Young - The Creative Competitor
